The following obituary was composed by Bob.

Robert H. Gump of Fort Washington died on Tuesday November 14th 2017 at Fort Washington Estates. He was 90.

Bob was the husband of the late Joyce E. Gump for 52 years. Born in Ft. Washington, he was the son of Ethel J, and J. Harold Gump.

Bob graduated from Ft. Washington Elementary School and Ambler High School where he served as President of the National Honor Society and Vice President of the Class of 1945. He served as Chairman of the Class Reunion Committee for many years.

Bob worked at the Sunoco Station in Ambler during his high school years and upon graduation, served for a time in the US Army. He was employed by the United Lutheran Publication House in Philadelphia as a store manager after which he was a Director of Sales representative for Fleming H. Revell of Old Tappan, NJ and Broadman-Holman of Nashville, TN.

Bob is survived by his daughter Deborah K. Howsare and her husband Robert and his brother John H. He was preceded in death by two sisters, E. Ruth Gump and Harriet J. Dummeldinger and a brother, Richard E. Gump.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 620 East Welsh Road, Horsham, PA 19044. His graveside service with military honors rendered by the United States Army at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA 19001.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Ellen Meissgeier, pastor of Resurrection Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Resurrection Lutheran Church, 620 East Welsh Road, Horsham, PA 19044.
