Anna Jean Pakstis of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Monday, January 29, 2018 at Wesley Enhanced Living at Stapeley. She was 84 years old. Anna was born May 17, 1933 in Wilbur, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Andrew Hollan and the late Mary Hollan (nee - Soltis). She is the beloved wife of the late William Pakstis; mother of Anna Jean Parisano and her husband Tony, Stephanie Davis and her husband the late Jim, and Bill Pakstis and his wife Joan; grandmother of Christopher and Anthony Parisano, A.J. and Jason Davis, and Billy and Callie Pakstis; sister of Joe and Andrew Hollan.

Anna was born and raised in western Pennsylvania. She and her husband Bill raised their children in Philadelphia where they attended St. George parish in Port Richmond for 30 years. Anna and Bill moved to Bedford, PA in the late 1980s. Anna returned to Philadelphia in 1997 after Bill’s death. She lived on Chandler Street and also on Rhawn Street in Fox Chase. She continued at St. George and also attended St. Cecilia near her home. Anna was a volunteer at Fox Chase Cancer Center for many years and was known for always helping people. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and taking care of her yard. She was also artistic and creative with her hobbies. Anna also enjoyed taking walks and reading.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Her graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

Religious services were conducted by Fr. James P. Olson pastor of St. George Church, 2700 East Venango Street, Philadelphia, PA 19134.
