Larry M. Willard of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania died Friday, October 27, 2017 at Brookside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. He was 72 years old. Larry was born January 24, 1945 in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, son of the late James M. Willard and the late Mary Willard (nee - Suvada). He is the beloved husband of the late Deborah (nee Miller) Willard; loving father of Amy Willard.
A lifelong resident of Willow Grove, he was born, raised, and educated in Willow Grove, PA. Larry was a 1963 graduate of Upper Dublin High School. After High School he was drafted into the United States Army and served honorably during the Vietnam War. After his discharge he went to work at SPS Technologies as a machinist. He retired in 2006 after the death of his beloved Deborah. Larry was a Civil War buff and a member of the North South Skirmish Association where skirmishers enjoy re-creating that history through competition with the firearms of that war.
Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. James Belzer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Rosenfeld Cancer Center at Abington Health Foundation, 1200 York Road, Abington, PA 19001.
