The following tribute was lovingly composed by Emil’s family:

Emil Feuchter, of Huntingdon Valley, PA passed away suddenly at his vacation home on Anna Maria Island, Florida, on October 27, 2017. He was 92 years old. Emil is survived by his beloved wife Hilda; son, Stephen and his wife Andrea; grandchildren Andrew, Christopher, Brooke, Alexis, and Carly; and his cousin Charlotte O’Donnell. Emil was preceded in death by his son Gary, his parents, and his brother Eugen.

Emil was born in 1925 in Öschelbronn, Baden, Germany to his parents Karl Feuchter and Karoline (geb. Wolf). As a young man, he served his apprenticeship in the tool and die trade and spent time in the German Air Force. He emigrated to the United States in 1956 and married Hilda Strehle in 1960. Emil was a successful businessman in the machine tool industry and was well known within those circles. He was an active individual who enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing pinochle, soccer, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Emil was a member of several local German clubs, including the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein, the Bayrischer Volksfest Verein, and the Vereinigung Erzgebirge, where he was a former director and the house committee chairman for many years. As a proud supporter of the VE soccer program, he was often seen on the sidelines watching games; he especially enjoyed watching his grandsons play.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. On Thursday, November 9, 2017 an additional visitation began at 9:00 A.M. and his funeral service at 10:00 A.M. both at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116. His graveside service followed at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053.

Religious services were conducted by The Reverend Norbert F. Hahn, Ph.D., pastor of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to VE Soccer Club, 130 Davisville Road, Warminster, PA 18974 or Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116.

Family flowers arranged by Schmidt’s Florist 215-745-6234.
