Gerard R. "Jerry" Lineman Sr. of Glenside, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, October 31, 2017. He was 77 years old. Jerry was born October 1, 1940 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of Claire Lineman (nee - Probst) and the late Lawrence Lineman Sr. He is the beloved husband of the late Mary Jane (nee Ebner) Lineman; father of Gerard Lineman, Jr. and his wife Bobbi-Ann, Donna Williams and her husband Robert, Thomas Lineman, and Lisa Kall and her husband Kevin; grandfather of Rebecca and her husband Andrew, Lauren and her husband Evan, Jennifer, Alyssa, Victoria, Justin, and Sian; brother of Lawrence Lineman Jr. and his wife Marie, Ruthann Breitmaier and her husband Bill, and the late Claire Schuck and her husband Jerry; brother in law of Raymond Ebner and his wife Sue, Veronica “Honey” Seibel and her husband the late Dick, the late Joseph “Buzz” Ebner and his wife the late Jeanne, the late Helen Langlois and her husband the late Bill, the late Robert Ebner and his wife Peg, and the late James Ebner and his wife the late Cindy. Jerry was also the father of the late infant Mary Jane Lineman who passed away February 9, 1964. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and loving labrador/pitbull mix Jessie.

Jerry was born, raised, and educated in the Fox Chase section of Philadelphia. He attended St. Cecilia’s Church and School and graduated in 1959 from Father Judge High School. Jerry met Mary Jane while attending Grade School at St. Cecilia’s. They were married February 10, 1962 at St. Cecilia's Parish. Jerry was an assistant Scout Master for Troop 309 Boy Scouts of America for many years at St. Luke’s Parish in Glenside. He was a printer for the family business L-A-L Printing, home of the Juniata News. In his free time he enjoyed camping, woodworking, especially making bird houses, and spending time with his grandchildren and dogs.

Relatives and friends were invited to his visitation on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 10:00 to 10:50 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 2316 Fairhill Avenue, Glenside, PA 19038. His graveside service followed at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA 18914.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Helen’s Hope, P.O. Box 51191, Philadelphia, PA 19115.
