Anne C. Lynch of Glenside, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Power Back Rehabilitation. She was 97 years old. Anne was born April 6, 1920 in Carrowmacbrine, Ireland, daughter of the late Patrick Jordan and the late Margaret Jordan (nee - Keogh). She is the beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Lynch; mother of Michael J. Lynch; sister of Agatha Devaney, the late Molly, the late Patrick, and the late Michael Jordan. She will be greatly missed by her cat Kelly.
Anne was born, raised, and educated in Ireland. She emigrated to England in 1948 and came to the United States in 1952. She met Joseph Lynch at a dance in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. The two were married in 1959 at Immaculate Conception Parish in Germantown. They moved to Ardsley in November of 1963. Anne worked as a Nurses Assistant for 25 years at the Homestead Nursing Home in Willow Grove. She was a member of the Queen of Peace Seniors prior to her health failing. She would drive for Meals on Wheels until she was 92 years old. She would often comment how her deliveries were quite often to younger people.
Relatives and friends were invited to her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Queen of Peace Church, 820 North Hills Avenue, Ardsley, PA 19038, there was not a visitation prior. Her graveside service followed at 12:00 P.M. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Lawrence F. Crehan from Queen of Peace Church.
