John’s family has lovingly composed the following obituary:

Mr. John Varghese, passed away on February 9, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born October 16, 1955, son of the late Mr. K.J. Varghese and the late Mrs. Saramma Varghese, of Kidayitharayil House, Kochi, Kerala, India. John is the beloved husband of Ruth “Sudha” John; brother of Sheela Daniel and her husband C.G., Shobha Alex and her husband Dr. Alex Thomas, and Mathew Varghese and his wife Reena.
 
He was a graduate of the Chemical Engineering Program at REC, Trichy, India. Presently, he was working as the Director for Advenser Engineering Services - India and USA. John and Sudha are members of St. George Mar Thoma Church, Fort Kochi, India and have been attending attending Christos Mar Thoma Church in Philadelphia, PA while in the United States.
 
Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing from 8:30 A.M. and funeral services beginning 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Christos Mar Thoma Church in Philadelphia, PA, located 9999 Gantry Road, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19115. He was laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery, Adams and Ramona Avenues, Philadelphia, PA, 19124 following the church services.
