Hilda M. Shrader of Ambler, Pennsylvania passed away quietly on June 5, 2021 from natural causes at the age of 101. Hilda spent her final days in the company of family members and friends. Hilda was born September 13, 1919 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Edward H. Felsch and Caroline Felsch (nee - Kruger). She was preceded in death by her husband James “Uncle Pete” Shrader.
Although her long life witnessed numerous changes in technology and culture, her favorite memories were by far those of summer days spent with family at the cluster of family bungalows at Point Pleasant (affectionately known as “the Point” to the family) along the Delaware Canal and River.
Relatives and friends were invited to her memorial service on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11:30 A.M. at Gwynedd Estates, 301 Norristown Road, Ambler, PA 19002. Verification of vaccination is required for entry to the facility.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Brian Gearin.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
