Joseph Dunlap “Dunny” Flood of Tarpin Springs, Florida and Abington, PA died Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. He was 88 years old. Joseph was born March 26, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late James A. Flood and the late Eleanor Flood (nee - Hallahan). He is the beloved husband of the late Sarah O’Malley Flood; Father of the late Joseph (the late Justine), David (Wendy) and Lynne “Dad’s Girl” Flood (Kevin Kornock); Grandfather of Tammy, Lauren, Monica, Nicole, and Steve; Brother of the late Jim Flood.

Joseph was born, raised, and educated in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. He was a proud graduate of Germantown High School. Joseph retired from his position as Quality Engineer from A.E.L. in 1996. He moved to Florida full time in 2000 after the passing of his wife Sarah. Joseph moved back to the Abington area in August of last year.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Monday, August 17, 2020 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. His graveside service followed at Hillside Cemetery, 2556 Susquehanna Road, Roslyn, PA 19001.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
