Betty C. Dawson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Jeanes Hospital. She was 95 years old. Betty was born December 22, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Joseph Dawson and the late Jean Dawson (nee - Cruickshank). Betty is survived by many cousins and wonderful friends.

Betty was born in Philadelphia and moved with her parents to Riverside, New Jersey when she was 6 years old. She was raised and educated in Riverside and was a 1943 graduate of Riverside High School. Betty worked as an executive secretary from 1943 to 1983 for the School District of Philadelphia at their offices at 21st and the Parkway in the city. During the same period, she was the organist for the Central United Methodist Church at 4620 Griscom Street in Philadelphia, retiring in 2005 when the church closed. More recently, Betty was a member of Fox Chase United Methodist Church. She had been a resident of 5139 Oxford Avenue in the Frankford section of Philadelphia for 43 years, until moving into the Philadelphia Protestant Home in 2005.

Relatives and friends were invited to her graveside service on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Park, 333 West County Line Road, Feasterville, PA 19053.

Relatives and friends were also invited to her memorial service on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Philadelphia Protestant Home chapel, 6401 Martins Mill Road, Philadelphia, PA 19111.

Religious services were conducted by Randy Brubaker.

Donations may be made in her memory to Philadelphia Protestant Home Benevolent Fund, 6500 Tabor Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
