Edward Roy Corbeil of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health. He was 94 years old. Edward was born June 7, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late George Sidney Corbeil and the late Elizabeth Marie Corbeil (nee - Tinney). He is the beloved husband of the late Leona Corbeil. Father of Jacqueline Dougherty and her husband John, the late Mary MacKenzie and her late husband Douglas, Lisa Hollingsworth and her husband Steven, Edward J. Corbeil and his wife Victoria and the late John E. Corbeil. Grandfather of Brian, Maureen and her husband Vickrum Shetty, David, Jackson, and Lindsey. Great grandfather of Dhruv, Ajay, and Deven. Brother of Elizabeth Weber (Richard), Jean Corbeil, Virginia Corbeil, the late George Corbeil, and the late Jack Corbeil.

Ed was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. Ed joined the U.S. Navy and served honorably from June 1946 to June 1952 during the Korean War Era. His stations included U.S. naval base, Norva, Fleet Camera Party Comservlant, and U.S.S. Allagash (AO-97). He was a member of Korean War Veterans chapter 38, American Legion Post 366, and Veterans of Foreign Wars post. After his time in the Navy, Ed began working at the United States Postal Service; a career which would last him 21 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 9:30 A.M. and funeral mass from 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. His graveside service and military honors rendered by the United States Navy followed at 12:00 P.M. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.
