Constance “Connie” Jefferson (nee - Linder) went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2023. She lived in Boynton Beach, FL at the time of her passing, but lived most of her life in Philadelphia, PA. She was 102 years old. Constance was born January 13, 1921 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Alvin Linder and the late Rose Linder (nee - Maresh). Beloved wife of the late Joseph B. Jefferson.

Connie was a devout Christian and never missed an opportunity to lead someone to Jesus. She went on mission trips and corresponded with and supported many missionaries.

Connie was an excellent seamstress, making clothing for her children, (including many outfits for her daughter’s Barbie dolls), Halloween costumes, slipcovers, drapes and bedspreads for her home and others. She was employed as a seamstress for many years.

Connie was also an accomplished artist! She could have pursued a career as an artist, but chose to be a full time wife and mother instead. One thing is evident, whatever she did, she excelled.

Connie was full of energy and eager to help others when needed. She devoted a lot of her time to the Lord’s work. She was a Sunday school teacher and a tireless leader in the church. She also drove the church van and picked up children for Sunday School.

Connie enjoyed many sports. She liked to go sledding, roller skating, biking, swimming, softball, and at the age of 65, she took up skiing! Known for her walking, people always commented about how fast she would walk well into her nineties. Connie loved to travel. She was proud to say she had visited almost every state in the US. She also traveled to Canada, Mexico, Israel, and several countries in Europe. She was a well rounded woman.

Connie is survived by her three daughters: Connie Jefferson-Lange, Cathi O’Brien and her husband Ed, and Shirley Bott and her husband Marc, Grandchildren: June Jessen, Colleen Zecca and her husband Jason, and Joe O’Brien Sr. and his wife Cyndi; Great-grandchildren: Spencer Barrett and his wife Liz, Joe O’Brien Jr. and his wife Annie, and Ryan Zecca; Great-great grandchildren: Allison, Cora, and Tara OBrien

Connie was truly loved by her family and friends and will be sorely missed until we are reunited with her in heaven.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 10:00 to 10:50 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Church Philadelphia Mills, 903 Franklin Mills Circle, Philadelphia, PA 19154. Her graveside service followed at Rosedale Memorial Park, 3850 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Rob Tarnoviski from Bethel Church Philadelphia Mills.
