Audrey J. Hays of Denton, Maryland died Monday, April 19, 2021 at Peak Healthcare at Denton. She was 90 years old. Audrey was born March 16, 1931 in Newark, New Jersey, daughter of the late Harry I. Moffat and the late Kathryn A. Moffat (nee - Schroeder). She is the beloved mother of Kathryn Hays, Daniel Hays, the late David Hays, and the late Stephen Hays and his wife Dena; grandmother of Amber Hays, Michael Hays, Annie Hays, Jason Hays, Stephen Hays, Samantha Hays, Stephen Michael Hays, Joshua Edminson, and Jonathon Beck; great grandmother of Chase Eric Hays and Ella Hays; sister of the late Jessie Phipps and the late Harry Moffat, Jr.
Audrey was a graduate of Upper Moreland High School in 1949. She was one of the original Eaglettes. Audrey retired in 1996 from American Bank as a supervisor.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service followed at Hatboro Cemetery, 36 Fulmor Avenue, Hatboro, PA 19040.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
