Katherine (Katharina) Steffen of Meadowbrook, Pennsylvania died Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. She was 85 years old. Katherine was born November 1, 1935 in Sackelhausen, Romania, daughter of the late Mathias Egler and the late Johanna Egler (nee - Welker). She is the beloved wife of the late Guenter Steffen; mother of Karen Steffen-Albert and her husband Robert and Linda Beck; grandmother of Emily Katharina Albert, Johanna Lynn Beck Jeurkar and her husband Chetan, Madeline Ann Beck, and Corrine Katherine Beck; great grandmother of Nora Lynn Jeurkar. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

Katherine is formerly of Burholme Avenue in Northeast Philadelphia. She worked as the office manager at her husband’s business, BKS Industries for more than 30 years.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception B.V.M., 602 West Avenue, Jenkintown, PA 19046. Her graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Joseph E. Howarth, Pastor of Immaculate Conception B.V.M.
