Anna G. Kohut of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Sunday, June 4, 2023 at VITAS - Nazareth Hospital. She was 93 years old. Anna was born March 13, 1930 in Ousterode, Germany, daughter of the late Karl Eis and the late Justeine Eis (nee - Graü). She is the beloved wife of the late Jerry Kohut; mother of Vera Kohut and Peter Kohut.
Anna was born, raised, and educated in Germany. She left for England to work as a nanny. It was here she met and fell in love with Jerry Kohut. The two were married in England and later moved to Canada in 1958. They moved to America and Anna went to work for Sears, on the Roosevelt Boulevard, and later at the Sears on Woodhaven Road. Anna worked for many years as a waitress at the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein. She and Jerry enjoyed working in their garden where Anna would grow beautiful flowers..
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. and funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
Religious services will be conducted by The Reverend Norbert F. Hahn, Ph.D. from Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 14100 Worthington Road, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
