Ernestine H. Hummel of Bensalem, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Juniper Village. She was 101 years old. Ernestine was born December 28, 1921 in Vienna, Austria, daughter of the late Heinrich M. Peter and the late Josephine J. Peter (nee - Komenda). Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Joseph Hummel. She is survived by her three children: Vincent J. Hummel Jr. (Judith), Wayne H. Hummel (Linda) and Ernestine J. “Mady” McKenna (John). Ernestine is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Steven, Susanne, David, Vincent 3rd, Joseph, Timothy, Thomas and Daniel. She is called “Gigi” (Great-Grandmom) by her many great-grandchildren

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:30 A.M. at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. Her graveside service followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.
