The following obituary was composed by Frank’s son:

Frank C. Lendemer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Jeanes Hospital Philadelphia. Of late, he was living independently at the Philadelphia Protestant Home. He was 94 years old.

Frank was born April 27, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York. He was the son of the late Rudolph Lendemer and his wife, Anna Lendemer (nee Epple). He is the beloved husband of Margaretha K. Lendemer (nee Morino) (11/8/30 - 12/11/20); father of Richard Lendemer; grandfather of James C. Lendemer and Anneliese D. Chen.

Frank grew up on a farm in Germany and had a life long love for animals, farming, and dancing German waltzes and polkas with his wife. He served his apprenticeship as a tool and die maker in Stuttgart, Germany. After WWII, Frank immigrated to the United States. Thereafter, Frank graduated from Standard Evening High School in Philadelphia and obtained his American High School diploma. He worked as a tool and diemaker at the Budd Company in Philadelphia, RCA Camden, and Maxim Electronics in Manhattan. He was sought out for his trade skills and was known for his strong work ethic.

Relatives and friends gathered at his graveside service on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 1:30 P.M. at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

Memorial services were conducted by a family friend, Richard Yates.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
