Jacquelin P. Ryan of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday September 1st, 2022 at St. Josephs Manor. She was 84 years old. Jacquelin was born November 9, 1937 in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Henry and Arria Gabryelewicz.

She was the beloved wife of the late Martin Ryan. Loving mother to Jacquelin Truxell and her husband Jerry, Martin J. Ryan and his wife Carolyn, James Ryan, the late Mary Mueller and her husband David, Kathleen Burkhardt and her husband Mark, and Kelly Banford and her husband Joe. Grandmother of Walter, Dane, Kevin, Jacqueline, Melanie, Francine, Daniel, Emily, the late Patrick, Patricia, Kelly Anne, Elizabeth, Shannon, Brittney, Megan, Josephine, John, Samantha, Becky, Ryan, Kacey, Kerry, and Joseph. SIster to the late Henry and Rosemary Gabriel and the late Robert and Mary Gabriel. Great grandmother and aunt to many. Pet mamma to Max and Taz. She will also be missed by her extended family at St. Joseph’s manor.

Jacquelin was born, raised and educated in Philadelphia. She attended St. Cecilia’s school and graduated from St. Boniface Business School. Jacquelin met her husband Martin at her cousin’s home in 1959. The two were married July 16th, 1960 at St. Cecilia’s church, her lifelong parish. Jacquelin most recently worked as a receptionist at Rolling Hill Hospital which she greatly enjoyed. After retiring she enjoyed spending time with her husband going on walks, going to the movies, and eating out at restaurants before he passed. Jacquelin loved cooking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening and yard work. She was an avid reader.

Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass starting at 10:30 AM at St. Cecilia’s Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111. Interment followed at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.
