Henry R. Bepperling of Somers Point, New Jersey died Saturday, March 18, 2022 at Preferred Care at Absecon. He was 80 years old. Henry was born February 9, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Henry J. Bepperling and the late Marie Bepperling (nee - McKenna). He is the beloved husband of Joan P. Bepperling (nee - Klein); father of Kristen M. Trexler and her husband Brian; grandfather of Adrianna Trexler. He is also survived by his half Labrador Retriever half Beagle rescue dog Buddy who misses him dearly.

Henry was born in Philadelphia but moved with his family to Atlantic City, New Jersey when he was in fourth grade. He attended Atlantic City High School and then enlisted in the United States Army on November 12, 1963. He served during the beginning of the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged from the service on November 10, 1965 after reaching the rank of Corporal. Henry worked for many years as an electrician for the Hotpack Corporation in Philadelphia until his retirement in 1998. In his leisure time he was an avid gardener. He has been a resident of Somers Point, New Jersey since 2011.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 12:30 P.M. and funeral service at 1:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service followed with military honors rendered by the United States Army at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Religious services were conducted by Fr. William S. Harrison, pastor of Presentation B. V. M. Church, 100 Old Soldiers Road, Cheltenham, PA 19012.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
