Patricia Emma Scharer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Philadelphia Protestant Home. She was 83 years old. Patricia was born May 2, 1940 in Jamaica, New York, daughter of the late Eric Anderson and the late Pauline Anderson (nee - Noll). She is the beloved wife of Emil Scharer.
Pat was raised in Elmont, New York and graduated from Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park. She worked for many years as a teachers aid for the Schalmont School District in Schenectady, New York. Pat moved to Philadelphia in April of 2016. She was a loyal friend, and beloved sister and aunt. She volunteered her time teaching Sunday School, playing the organ, and singing in the church choir. Christmas was her year-round passion. She loved animals, especially her cats and chipmunks. She enjoyed doing crafts, camping, traveling, and gardening. Pat will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service on May 20, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at New Apostolic Church - 1200 East Cayuga Street (at K Street), Philadelphia, PA 19124.
