She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew Sassane, Sr., mother of Andrew Sassane, Jr. (Beverley), Denise Kastenhuber (Walter), Frank Sassane and James Sassane (Melissa); grandmother to Thomas Sassane, Jennifer Kastenhuber, Laura McComsey (Andy), Danielle Miehlke (Keith), Andrew Sassane (Stacey), Christine, Kelly, Maria, Julia and Gina Sassane; and great grandmother to Mia and Andrew Sassane.

Elynor was raised and educated in Philadelphia where she graduated from Germantown High School and Pierce Business College. At Pierce, she completed her training to be a paralegal and was employed at law firms during her working years.

In her free time she enjoyed swimming, painting and participating in her senior’s club. She loved cooking and was well known in the neighborhood for her meatballs.
