Irene Albelo Abad of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania died Sunday, May 10, 2020 at her home. She was 82 years old. Irene was born June 20, 1937 in Havana, Cuba, daughter of the late Nicolas Albelo and the late Magdalena Abad. She is the beloved wife of the late Roberto Lopez Ferreiro; mother of Irene Lopez Albelo, Maria Elena Lopez Albelo and Elsa Rosales; she is also survived by her five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Irene was born, raised, and educated in Cuba. She emigrated to the United States with her husband in 1996.
Religious services were private and were conducted by Fr. Kevin P. Murray from St. Hilary of Poitiers Church, 820 Susquehanna Road, Rydal, PA 19046.
