Ola Jane Eberle of Horsham, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at her home. She was 87 years old. Ola was born March 15, 1936 in Hazard, Kentucky, daughter of the late Robert C. Sams and the late Allie Sams (nee - Joseph). She is the beloved wife of 57 years of the late Albert G. Eberle Jr.; mother of Trudy Eberle-Buck, R.N. (David) and Albert G. Eberle, III (Donna). Loving grandmother of Tammy Sigg (Tim), Laura Ruby (Kevin) and Bruce Burns, Jr., R.N. (Rich). Great grandmother of Dylan Ruby (Taylor), Katrina Sigg (Tyler) and Kyle Ruby. Sister of William and Homer (Connie). Ola also had five sisters, all whom preceded her in death: Della Mae, Christoria, Delphia, Viola, and Dorothy.
Ola Jane was born, raised, and educated in Hazard, Kentucky. She moved to the Philadelphia area with her parents in 1951. Over the years, Ola Jane worked in various industries, including: waiting tables, injection molding of plastics at Delaware Valley Products for 14 years, and 8 years as a carpet maker at the Downs Carpet Company. She was a life member of Roslyn Fire Company in Roslyn, PA for over sixty years, and President of Ladies Auxiliary Roslyn Fire Company for over twenty years. When her daughter was in school, Ola Jane was president of the PTA. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, cross stitching, and creating textile and jewelry items. She also loved traveling with her companion Mr. Pat Bruno. They had fond memories of trips to Florida, and cruising to the Bahamas and Bermuda.
A Memorial Service for Ola Jane Eberle was held at Roslyn Fire Company, 1128 Bradfield Road, Roslyn, PA 19001. Date June 24, 2023. Family Greeting 10:30 AM. Memorial Service started at 11:00 AM. Light refreshments followed. Burial will be private at a later date.
