Elaine Vollmer of Dushore, Pennsylvania died Sunday, December 26, 2021 at UPMC Susquehanna. She was 88 years old. Elaine was born February 6, 1933 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Franklin Beattie and the late Sadie Beattie (nee - Herstine). She is the beloved wife of the late Albert C. Vollmer; mother of Albert C. Vollmer Jr. and his wife Marrisa and their sons Ken, Jared and daughter Taylor, Frank W. Vollmer and his wife Janet and their daughter Ashley, and Denise Berridge and her husband Thomas and their sons Lucas and Doug and daughter Alicia; Great grandmother of four with one more on the way; sister of Ethel Sullivan and the late Jack Beattie.
Elaine was raised and educated in Horsham, PA. She met her husband while he was home from the military in Horsham. The two were married and raised their family in their beloved home town. Elaine drove a bus for her alma mater for nine years. She attended First Presbytrian Church of Warminster for many years.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090. Her graveside service followed at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Calvin Uzelmeier.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
