Phyllis Bailey passed away Thursday, May 6th, 2021. She was 78 years old. She was born February 15th, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Joseph Mortimer and the late Isabel Mortimer (nee - Smigelski). She was the twin sister of Peggy Venticinque and the younger sister of the late Joseph Mortimer. She was the mother of Martin J. Cocci (wife Ann Marie), Phyllis O'Bott (husband Steven), Deanna Underkoffler (husband Jeremiah), the late Charleen Russo (husband Anthony), and the late Andrea Cocci Emig. She was the stepmother of William Bailey Jr. (wife Rachel), Geoffrey Bailey (wife Sara), and Carol Kowalski (husband David). Phyllis is survived by a multitude of grandchildren.

Phyllis was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. She graduated from St Hubert Catholic High School For Girls in 1961. She married Martin Cocci in 1963 and together they had five children whom she stayed at home to raise. She found joy in being a stay at home mother. Later she married William J. "Bill" Bailey Sr. in 1988. She resided most of her adult life in Warminster and Chalfont. Phyllis used her skills as a writer in the role of editor of a pro-life newspaper called "Voices of the Unborn" that her brother founded and funded and where her late husband Bill also served. Phyllis' faith was very important in her life and she was an active member in the various parishes where she lived. She had a love for God's Word and was a regular attender of many Bible studies and prayer groups over the years.

Phyllis most enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her many relatives. One of the places many of them came together each summer was Sandy Cove Ministries in North East, Maryland. She would often go parasailing there over the bay. Many have asked about flowers or donations. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be sent to Sandy Cove Ministries, 60 Sandy Cove Rd, North East, MD 21901, along with a note that the gift is given in honor of Phyllis' life.

Services were held privately.
