Alfred John Wurster was born on April 4, 1932, in Modlin, Poland, the son of the late Adolf Daniel and Martha Marron Wurster. He is survived by his wife, Janis Carpenter Scoville Wurster, of London, Kentucky, two children, Ellen Foulke (Jim) of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and Richard Wurster (Mary) of Sparta, North Carolina, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one step-daughter, Margaret Scoville Nottingham (Greg) of Waxhaw, North Carolina, four step-grandchildren, one brother, Richard Wurster (Dania) of Warrington, Pennsylvania, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Walter Wurster and his first wife and the mother of his children, Hilda Varesko Wurster.

Alfred was an artisan in stained glass and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He immigrated with his family to America in 1950. Alfred departed this life at Baptist Health Corbin in Continued Care Hospital on Sunday, December 22, 2019, being 87 years, 8 months and 18 days of age.
 
Relatives and friends were invited to his funeral on Saturday January 11, 2020 at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 501 Easton Road in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, with a visitation beginning at 9:00 AM and his funeral service at 10:00 AM. His interment followed at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, Pennsylvania. Religious services were conducted by Pastor Albert Konrad.
