Lois Doak Faunce of Warminster, Pennsylvania died Saturday, March 28, 2020 at her home. She was 89 years old. Lois was born December 18, 1930 in Middlebourne, West Virginia, daughter of the late Ernest Everett Doak and the late Mary Enkler Doak (nee - Cook). She is the beloved wife of 68 years to the late Grant George Faunce; mother of Robert A. Faunce, Steven B. Faunce, Karen L. Keller and her husband Brian R., and Sandra A. Travor and her husband Scott D.; grandmother of Matthew Keller, Kelly Menchaca, Michael Travor, Kelsey Travor, Katie Travor, Emma Witman and Max Witman; great grandmother of Alexander Faunce and Sarai Menchaca.
Lois was raised and educated in Sistersville, West Virginia where she graduated, as valedictorian of the class, in 1948 at Sisterville High School. Grant and Lois met while she was attending church with her aunts during a visit from her home in West Virginia. Her aunt introduced her to Grant and he quickly invited her to the movies. They kept in touch over the years. One day he asked to visit her in West Virginia where he asked for her hand in marriage. They were married in 1951 and raised their family in the Ardsley section of Abington Township. Lois worked at Jacob Reeds and later with Prudential Insurance, for over 10 years, retiring in 1992. In her free time she enjoyed quilting, gardening, and baking.
Services were private.
