Catherine Maisey, 64, passed away on March 23, 2020 in the hospital. Although she passed during a pandemic, Catherine wasn’t a victim to the disease but to the hysteria and lack of compassion that surrounded it.
She was born September 24, 1955 in Philadelphia to Dolores and George Maisey. She was one of seven children. She was a graduate of Olney High School, attended community college and Temple University. She prided herself on her work with Shriners Hospital for Children and the Philadelphia School District.
Catherine loved life. She loved music, animals, books, being a mom, her family and helping people. She was always an advocate for women’s rights and civil rights. Her infectious personality, generosity, and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone and she is deeply missed.
She is survived by her daughter Jessica, brother George, and sisters Ellie Debbie and Essie.
