Walter Karl Kraft of Southampton, Pennsylvania died Monday, March 23, 2020. He was 84 years old. Walter was born December 14, 1935 in Stuttgart, Germany, son of the late Friedrich Kraft and the late Emma Kraft (nee - Klein). He is the beloved husband of Gerlinde; father of Carol Jablonski and her husband Greg, Rosemarie Laverty and her husband Tim, and Walter Kraft Jr and his wife Deborah; grandfather of Lauren and Matthew Kraft, and Claire and Julia Jablonski.
Walter was raised in Höpfigheim, Germany and trained as a tool and die maker. Shortly after emigrating to the United States, he married Gerlinde in 1959. As an active member of the Philadelphia German-American community, Walter served various roles in the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein, including president. He was an avid outdoorsman and spent time hunting, surf fishing and on legendary group skiing trips.
We ask no bereavement visits to protect everyone. A memorial service will be held when circumstances allow.
