Christian Heinrich "Chris" Tumir of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania died Friday, April 3, 2020 at Holy Redeemer Hospital. He was 78 years old. Chris was born April 15, 1941 in Bavaria, Germany, son of the late Wilhelm Peter Tumir and the late Stephania Tumir (nee - Kilinskyj). He is the beloved husband of Bette Tumir (nee - Haffner); father of Christian; stepfather of Carol (the late Steve) and Michael (Lauren); grandfather of Chloe and Atticus; brother of Fritz and the late Walter.
Christian was born, raised, and educated in the area of Bavaria, Germany, graduating from the Technical University of Munich. After immigrating to the United States, he continued his long career as an electronic engineer with Grundig, General Dynamics, GE, and later retired from AVR. He was a longtime member of Cannstatter Volksfest-Verein and Gloria Dei Church in Huntingdon Valley.
