The following was composed by Nancy’s daughter Linda:
Nancy T. Houck, 85, passed away on April 6th at St. Joseph Manor, the home she loved for the past 11 years surrounded by the nurses and aides that took such wonderful care of her.
Nancy was known to everyone as a kind and caring person and loving mother to Linda Marx (Houck) who will miss her more than words can say. She loved welcoming new residents and talking to her nurses and aides about their families and she never missed an opportunity to play bingo or listen to the wonderful entertainment in the big living room. Nancy was a devoted wife to Robert Houck who died in 1996. Nancy was a long time member of St. David’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed visits from Pastor Lauren Heywood and parishioners.
Interment was private.
In lieu of flowers donations in Nancy’s memory should be made to St. Joseph’s Manor - Holy Redeemer Health Systems, 521 Moredon Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
