John Harrison Bodnar
October 27, 1962 ~ August 5, 2020
Who resided in Philadelphia his whole life passed away from heart disease at home. John was preceded in death by his loving parents Virgie and William Bodnar, his older brother, his best friend William Bodnar & his nephew Edward (Ziggy) Ziegler. John is survived in death by his older brother Eddie Canterbury (Diane), his older sister Carole Ziegler, his niece Karen Ziegler-Carfagno (Larry), his niece Michelle Koszarek (Tony), his nephew Eddie Joe Canterbury (Crystal) & his niece Susan Beck (Mark). John is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, Ethan Carfagno, Callie Carfagno, Alexis Jo Canterbury & Joey Canterbury.
John worked in landscaping for many years for Haverford College. John was a hard working man who enjoyed working outdoors in all types of weather. John enjoyed spending as much time outdoors as possible. He had a love of fishing and spending countless hours on lakes & rivers. Early on weekend mornings you could find John riding his motorcycle throughout the suburbs of Philadelphia and by the Delaware River.
But John’s number one love in life was his family. There was nothing John enjoyed more than being with his brother & sister in West Virginia and also spending time with his nieces and nephews who he treated as his own children. John was called home too early however the family is at peace knowing John has been reunited with his brother Billy and his nephew Ziggy.
John will forever live in our hearts and memories.
