Mary E. Powell of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her home. She was 77 years old. Mary was born October 11, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late George Crowe and the late Mary Crowe (nee - Ditzler). She is the beloved wife of the late John J. Powell; mother of Colleen M. Boyle and John P. Powell; mother-in-law of Michael T. Boyle and Tanya R. Powell; grammy of Kieran M., Colin P., Megan K., Sheila M., and Finnegan J. Boyle; sister-in-law of Mary Ann Powell.

Mary was a lover of music and animals, especially her Grandogs, Elvis, Harley, Suge, and Fiona. She had many pets over the years so many tails were wagging at the Rainbow Bridge upon her arrival. She spent over 30 yrs. as a medical receptionist at the same family doctor practice, patients were friends and co-workers were family. From a young age she loved to bowl, play skee ball, and also played accordion. She graduated from St. Hubert's High School for Girls, she was a proud Bambie. As a young woman she learned to sew finding great joy in making her own outfits and Halloween costumes for her kids. Mary devoted her life to her family as a band parent at Cardinal Dougherty High School and many hours spent in "the shack" at NEO sporting events. She lived for family vacations in Sea Isle. Days spent on the beach, mini golf, and cocktail hour found her at her happiest. She will always be remembered for her deviled eggs, french toast, and Christmas breakfast casserole. More importantly, she will never be forgotten for her smile, her compassion, and her undying love.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 5:00 P.M. and Funeral Mass at 7:00 P.M. at Presentation B. V. M.
