David Dwight Lawson of Ambler, Pennsylvania died Thursday, December 3, 2020 at his home surrounded by his entire family.  He was 88 years old.  David was born October 13, 1932 in El Paso, Texas, son of the late Dr. John Dwight Lawson and the late Sarah Lawson (nee - Mansfield).  Beloved husband of 55 years to Joyce (nee Ellensohn) Lawson; father of Jennifer Gobora and her husband Harry, David Dwight Lawson Jr., Sarah Black and her husband Steven; cherished grandfather of Riley and David Gobora, Jackson, Elizabeth, Max, Mackie, and Steven Black.
 
David's childhood was spent as an “Army brat” at various Army stations where his father, an Army doctor, was assigned. David received a B.S. and M.S. from the University of Missouri. He completed pilot training in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Goose Bay, Labrador. He held management positions at Ford Motor Co., Pet Milk Co., Mead Johnson, and Narco Scientific Industries. He started Lawson Enterprises, Inc. a marketing service firm in 1972. He was a member of St. Thomas’ Church, Whitemarsh, Cedarbrook Country Club and participated in Angel Flight. He loved flying, playing golf, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family. His grandchildren fondly remember flying with Pop Pop and him teaching them to play golf.
 
David’s memorial service was held on Saturday December 12th at 10:15 am at St. Thomas’ Church, Whitemarsh, 610 Church Road, Fort Washington, PA 19034. It may be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQYyZXjmxmA&feature=youtu.be.

Relatives and friends were invited to call on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Cedarbrook Country Club, 180 Penllyn Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422.

Relatives and friends were invited to the burial on Monday December 14th at 2:30 pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
