Doris Katherine Kesselring of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Friday, December 18, 2020 at Lafayette Redeemer. She was 82 years old. Doris was born November 3, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John Hartman and the late Emilie Hartman (nee - Roth). She is the beloved wife of the late Franz I. Kesselring; mother of Lori K. White and her husband Edwin, John Kesselring and his wife Beverly, Frank Kesselring and his wife the late Linda, and Maria Kesselring-Beer and her husband Jonathan Beer; grandmother of Eric White, Julia, Rachel, Lisa, and Kimberly Kesselring, and Alena Beer; sister of Linda E. Hartman and Joan S. Perry (the late Thomas J.); sister-in-law of Magdalena Higi and Irmgard Dressler.

Doris was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. She was a graduate of Olney High School. Franz Kesselring and Doris Hartman met at the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein. The two fell in love and were married June 12, 1959 in Alexandria, Virginia. She was an avid reader, loved to sing, play violin, cook, and host large family gatherings. Doris worked, prior to raising her family, at N.W. Ayer & Son in Philadelphia in advertising. She dedicated most of her life to her children and grandchildren. She had a very kind and giving heart always seeing the best in others. She loved to keep a pristine home, she took great pride in. She was a member of the Canstatter Frauen Verein for many years.

Due to Covid-19, the services were private. A memorial service will follow once restrictions are lifted.
