Jeanette D. Chestnut of Hatboro, Pennsylvania died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Wesley Enhanced Living Upper Moreland. She was 94 years old. Jeanette was born November 12, 1926 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Howard A. Davidson and the late Janet G. Davidson (nee - Clark). She is the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Chestnut Jr.; mother of Raymond J. Chestnut III and his wife Cathy, Lynne C. Lord and her husband Lee, and Glenn A. Chestnut and his wife Debbie; grandmother of Alex, Eddie, Cole, Glenn Jr. and his wife Alissa, and Christopher Chestnut; great grandmother of Chloe Chestnut; sister of the late lone Siefken and the late Howard Davidson Jr.
Jeannette was born, raised, and educated in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. She was a graduate of Germantown High School and continued her education with a degree from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. Jeannette loved her career as a dental hygienist and worked for many years in the Maple Glen area. She and Raymond met in High School and were high school sweethearts. They were married for over sixty years until his passing in 2017. They raised their family in Willow Grove, PA, enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City, NJ and lived for ten years in Florida. They owned the condo at the Jersey shore for over 30 years and loved it. In FL, they went for the winter to their condo on the Indian River for over 10 years. Jeannette enjoyed antiquing in her free time. She was an outstanding piano player, and took up bell ringing later in life.
