Howard R. Longstreth III of Rockledge, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at his home. He was 73 years old. Howard was born October 17, 1947 in Abington, Pennsylvania, son of the late Howard R. Longstreth Jr. and the late Irene Longstreth (nee - Sponheimer). He is the beloved husband of 27 years to Susan (nee Cantagallo) Longstreth.
Howard was born, raised, and educated in Abington, PA. He was graduate of Abington High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served in Italy. Howard was very proud of his time on the USS Douglas Fox. He served as a Rockledge Borough and a Cheltenham Police officer for twenty-five years. Howard loved computers and and was a self taught IT technician. He enjoyed fishing. woodworking, making birdhouses, and other projects. He could often be found in the garage working on something. He enjoyed working in the yard and feeding his birds and stray cats. Howard was a good husband, a friend to all, and a jack of all trades. He was loved and will be missed by everyone. He loved music and would play his music very loud and the neighbors loved it, while working on projects in the garage.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, services will be private.
