The following obituary was composed by Megan’s family:

Megan “Reni” Dustman of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Friday March 5, 2021 at Jefferson Frankford Hospital. Megan was born on September 29, 1993 to Marie Dustman and Andrew Whitehead. She was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and mentor.

As a young child Megan spent her youth in dance class, choir, and bowling. Summers were spent on trips to Wildwood, NJ where she enjoyed the arcades, games of chance and skill, along with thrill rides like the Sightseer Tram Car. Megan, as a child, also traveled via road trips to Disney World, New Hampshire and Cooperstown NY for Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Steve Carlton’s induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. She also enjoyed family holiday celebrations along with get-togethers at parks, favorite restaurants, and her Uncle Pop-Pop’s backyard for barbecues with her extended family.

After graduating St. Hubert’s High School, Megan developed a deep love of Gaming in the Computer World and Anime animation where she fostered an amazing online family in these communities. Megan had a love of animals her favorite being rabbits and hamsters as well as an eclectic taste in music from Elvis to Country to KPOP and Musicals.

Megan was pre deceased in death by her mother Marie and Grandparents John and Marie Dustman. Survived by Her Father Andrew Whitehead and Step Mother Margaret Burns, Grandparents Marie Whitehead, Maureen Montgomery and William Vile, Godfather and Uncle Shawn Dustman, Aunt Janet Dustman, Uncle Donald Whitehead and Aunt Joellyen Whitehead, Aunt Susanne Whitehead and Uncle Drew Lambert. Younger sisters Geenie, Victoria, Devon, Madison, Reina and brother Shane as well as Nephew Cayden and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Megan will be remembered for her big heart and infectious laugh as well as her sassy and spunky personality.

Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 9:30 to 11:30 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Her funeral service was by invitation only in-person due to pandemic limitations but was live-streamed for friends beginning at 12:00 P.M. Relatives and friends were invited to her graveside service at 1:15 P.M. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Avenue, Cheltenham, PA 19038.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 100 West Main Street, Suite 204, Lansdale, PA 19446.
