Frank Matysik of Germantown, Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2021 at the age of 65. A devoted fan of live rock music and local sports teams, Frank was an accomplished athlete, competing in many local and national handball tournaments from his home base at the Greene Street YMCA (now GLEC). A graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School, Frank grew his passion for house painting into a thriving business in Northwest Philadelphia. The youngest of three brothers to Francis and Jean (nee Dzubian), he is survived by his brothers Joseph and George (Colleen), three nieces and nephews, a great-niece and great-nephew, and many close friends.
Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. and funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Attendees should note that face masks are required and social distancing to the best of their ability is encouraged.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Associated Services for the Blind, P.O. Box 1758, Bensalem, PA 19020.
