Dorothy S. Cloud of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Friday, November 17, 2023 at Philadelphia Protestant Home. She was 91 years old. Dorothy was born January 3, 1932 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Walter S. Stellmach and the late Mary Stellmach (nee - Stachowiak). She was predeceased by her cousin Helen Larios and Thomas Marota. She is survived by cousin Walter Larios, the Marota family, and many friends.
Dorothy always said “remember – no sad songs for me.” That’s quite a big request when trying to honor and say goodbye to someone who will be greatly missed. Dorothy lived a full life that led her to have many people who miss her. She was vivacious and adventurous and knew how to really live life to the fullest, even from a young age. A beautiful, witty woman with excellent style that traveled the world, she experienced a life that some people could never dream. From Philadelphia to Singapore and back again, Dorothy gained many treasured friends and had a loving family. She was so appreciative of her godson, her friends that visited and called her, and the staff that cared for her at the Protestant Home where she spent her last months of life. Dorothy passed away peacefully on November 17, 2023. In keeping with Dorothy’s requests and “no sad songs for me”, there will be no services but a wish for everyone to celebrate Dorothy how they feel best – and with only the happiest of songs.
