Craig Kenneth Brandt of Horsham, Pennsylvania died Thursday, June 17, 2021 at his home. He was 66 years old. Craig was born July 27, 1954 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, son of the late August E.R. Brandt and the late Lillian A. Brandt (nee - McCracken). He is the beloved husband of Carol A. Ruth-Brandt (nee Williams); father of Corey Brandt (Madison), Julie Ruth (Cara), Debbie Ottenbreit (Rick), and Amy Cole (Kevin); grandfather of Alana and Johnny Brandt, Andy, Sam, Wesley, and Danny Ottenbreit, and Jacob and Alanna Cole; brother of Allan R. Brandt and his wife Kathi, Richard E. Brandt and his wife Annette.
Craig was raised and educated in Upper Moreland Twp., PA, He was a graduate of Upper Moreland High School and went to work in the Public Works for Upper Moreland Twp. He retired from his position as Foreman after 34 years with the Township. It was during his years at the township that he met Carol Williams Ruth, the two were married in 2001. In his free time, Craig enjoyed fishing for trout in Washington Crossing and flounder in Long Beach Island. He was an avid reader of mysteries and enjoyed watching his beloved Phillies and Eagles. Craig had a love of sports, playing basketball and baseball in his youth through high school and watching his grandson play today. His greatest love was spending time with all of his grandchildren.
