Marija Dankiw Ikoniak of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania died Friday, July 23, 2021 at her home. She was 95 years old. Marija was born April 9, 1926 in Brody, Ukraine, daughter of the late Stefan Dankiw and the late Madeline Dankiw. She is the beloved wife of the late Wasyl Ikoniak; mother of John Ikoniak and Joseph Peter Ikoniak and his wife Janet; grandmother of Leslie Yodis and her husband Peter, Ashley Boe Ikoniak and her husband Joshua and Sarah Hay and her husband Brandon. Dear friend of Oksana Kovalchuk and Luba Kinakh. Great Grandmother of Grace, Mark and Joel Yodis, Cedar and Holden Boe, and Wilder, Lander, Oakley, and Calder Hay.
Marija will be missed by her dear church friends at First Ukrainian Evangelical Baptist Church where she was known as the Candy Lady.
Relatives and friends were invited to call on Friday August 6, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and to her viewing on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 9:30 A.M. and funeral service at 10:00 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. Her graveside service followed at Lawnview Cemetery, 500 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.
