Marie Louise Pernicello (nee DeLorenzo), died peacefully on November 26, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Joseph DeLorenzo and Carmella DeLorenzo (nee Coya). She was married for 45 years to the late Antonio Pernicello. She was the loving mother of the late Anthony Joseph Pernicello and his wife Marina, Thomas Pernicello, Carol Hellyer and her husband Russell, and her “adopted” son David Molter.
Marie was one of seven sisters and one brother. She is survived by Anna McKeown, Jane Saul, and Susan Temple Bender. She was preceded in death by Rita McDemus, Teresa DeLorenzo, Julia Kelly, Francis Freeberry, Joseph “Buddy” DeLorenzo. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Thomas (Chrissy), Lanie, Anthony (Collene), Melissa (John), Russell (Erin), Anthony (Richelle), and Michael (Melissa), 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Marie was a very giving person. She was always willing to help family and friends. She enjoyed knitting, putting puzzles together, watching game shows, and playing bingo. She loved dancing with her husband, and spending time in Barnegat Light NJ over the years.
She enjoyed cooking and always cooked enough to feed the neighborhood. This was a trait that she passed down to her children and grandchildren.
Service and interment were private.
