John Alex Makejew of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Jeanes Hospital. He was 59 years old. John was born March 27, 1962 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Iwan “John” Makejew and Mary Makejew (nee - Carpenter). He is the beloved husband of Eileen Marie Makejew (nee Davis); devoted father of John R. Makejew (Christine) and Jason M. Makejew and his wife Heather. He was also survived by his beloved grandpups.
John was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He was a 1980 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School. He worked as an Automotive Technician for many years. John was a die hard Eagles fan and enjoyed camping and fishing in his free time.
Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service followed at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
