Barbara Jean Wade of Willow Grove, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She was 70 years old. Barbara was born March 26, 1951 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Robert Miller and the late Laura O. Miller (nee - Carlo). She is the beloved wife of the late John Wade; aunt of Dina M. McNamara and her husband Frank, Gregory R. Mastrogiovanni and his wife Jeannie, and Lauren N. Herrschaft and her husband Tom; greataunt of Timmy, Luke, Alexandra, Adelaide, Julie, and Allison; sister of the late Virginia Mastrogiovanni.
Barbara was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. She was a graduate of Olney High School. Barbara worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist for Fox Chase Cancer Center and Jeanes Hospital. She had a lifelong love of animals, especially her beloved dogs, macaw and cockatoo. Barbara had an amazing group of long time friends who she loved dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Mass on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at St. David Church, 316 Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Montgomery County SPCA - SPCA of Montgomery County, 19 East Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
