Robert E. Crockett of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Meadowview Rehabilitation And Nursing Center. He was 71 years old. Robert was born July 30, 1950 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of the late Roland Edward Crockett and the late Florence A. Crockett (nee - Fisher). He is the beloved husband of Debra (nee Knell); father of Rebecca Dugan and her husband Ian; brother of Richard W. and his wife Shirley, Kenneth D. and his wife Deborah, Steven J. and his wife Bonnie, and Robin Evans and her husband John. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

Robert was born, raised, and educated in Philadelphia. He was a graduate of Olney High School in 1968. Although classmates, he and Debra would start dating after high School and were married in 1974 at Wyoming Avenue Baptist Church. Robert enlisted in the United States Air Force after High School and served honorably. He worked for many years after his discharge as a security guard and in facilities at Philadelphia College of Bible (now Cairn University). He was a long time member of Wyoming Avenue Baptist Church (Grace Church of Philly) where he also worked as a custodian. Robert had a fascination with the Civil War and was eager to learn more about this time in American History.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. and funeral service at 12:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046. His graveside service with military honors rendered by the United States Air Force followed at 2:00 P.M. at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Religious services were conducted by Pastor John Davis from Grace Church of Philly.
