Mamie Louise Kennedy of Lansdale, Pennsylvania died Friday, August 27, 2021 at Brandywine Senior Living, Dresher Estates. She was 90 years old. Mamie was born August 31, 1930 in East Gadsden, Alabama, daughter of the late General Marion Argo and the late Mamie Argo (nee - Sims). She is the beloved wife of the late Bryce Stewart Kennedy Sr.; mother of Tamara Jago and her husband Rev. Dr. Glenn Jago, Bryce Stewart Kennedy Jr. Esq. and his wife Jill, and John Argo Kennedy and his wife Dawn; devoted Nana of Elysha, Ethan, Alexandra, Nick, Bryce S. “Stewart” III, Natalie, Madison, John Happy, Kailyn, John, Kansas, and Josiah; great grandmother of 14; and the sister of the late Maxine Cranston and the late General Marion Argo Jr.

Mamie and Bryce Sr. were married in 1952 in Oakridge, TN. She was a great cook, baker, and fitness enthusiast up until the past few years. Mamie was an active member of the Church of the Open Door and served with the Children’s Ministry for many years.

Relatives and friends were invited to gather Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 10:15 to 10:30 A.M. in the bell tower drive at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. At 10:30 am we will progress as a group to the family plot for her graveside service.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Glenn Jago pastor of Church of the Open Door.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Church of the Open Door, Children’s Ministry Fund, 1260 Fort Washington Avenue, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
