Barbara Rose Loney (69) passed away suddenly on Monday, August 30, 2021 at her home in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. Barbara was born July 5, 1952 in Philadelphia, daughter of the late George W. Paquier and the late Marie R. Paquier (nee Schag). She is the beloved mother of Stephen Allen Loney Jr. Esq. and his wife Erica; grandmother (“Grammy”) of Jessica E. Loney and Stephen A. Loney III; aunt of Edward G. Smith and Christopher E. Smith; and great aunt to Gabriella and Jacob Smith.
Barbara was born, raised, and educated in the Philadelphia area. She was a graduate of West Catholic Girls High School class of 1970. A career nurse, she later continued her education at Delaware County Community College to become a surgical nurse. Barbara loved nothing more than spending her time with her grandchildren and her beloved dog Miki. She enjoyed good conversations with lots of laughs around the dining room table with family, pinochle leagues with old friends, and game nights with newer friends at Gloria Dei Towers.
Relatives and friends were invited to her visitation on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at Presentation B. V. M. Church, 100 Old Soldiers Road, Cheltenham, PA 19012. Interment was private.
Religious services were conducted by Fr. William S. Harrison from Presentation B. V. M. Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Church Farm School, 1001 East Lincoln Highway, Exton, PA 19341.
