Edward Francis Willis "Weas" of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died Sunday, September 12, 2021 at his home.  He was 82 years old.  Edward was born November 6, 1938 in Lowell, Massachusetts, son of the late Joseph R. Willis and the late Agnes T. Willis (nee McQuade).  He is the beloved husband of Margaret “Peggy” (nee Rohrer) Willis; father of Nancy-Jo, Edna, Brenda, Bridget, Edward II, and E.J. He had 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  He is survived by a sister, Alyce McQuade and a brother, Michael Willis. He was predeceased by his siblings Anne Buckley, Joseph Willis, Alice Willis, Mary O’Sullivan, Russell Willis, James Willis, and Hugh Willis.

Ed was born, raised, and educated in Lowell, MA where he attended Lowell High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served honorably for over twenty years. Ed retired with the rank of Chief Petty Officer, Boilerman Technician.  After retirement from the military Ed worked at Kelsey Hayes Co., St Mary's Hospital, and Einstein Hospital as a Power Plant Stationary Engineer. 

Ed and Peggy were married July 28, 1984 at Bethany United Church of Christ in the Lawndale section of Philadelphia. He enjoyed fishing, pool/billiards, trips to the casino, traveling throughout United States and spending time with family and his dog Fozzy. Ed was a proud member and former Officer of the Harry T. Clunn VFW post 9220, Cheltenham American Legion Post 497, and the Fleet Reserve Association.

Relatives and friends were invited to his viewing on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. and funeral service at 4:00 P.M. at Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 419 Huntingdon Pike, Rockledge, PA 19046.

Religious services were conducted by Rev. Dr. Jack Fletcher Price from Bethany United Church of Christ, 6545 Rising Sun Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
