Karen Beth Baker of Ambler, Pennsylvania died Monday, June 6, 2022 at her home. She was 70 years old. Karen was born March 4, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Erskine Baker and the late Marilyn Baker (nee - Uran). She is the sister of Barbara Kollar and her husband Michael Klusaritz; aunt of Lindsay Lerch and her husband Robert and Ryan Kollar and his wife Kim; Beloved companion of her cat Finn.

Karen was raised and educated in Dresher, PA graduating from Upper Dublin High School in 1970. She continued her education with a BA from Bethany College in Bethany, WV and a BS from Jefferson University. She also attended Chestnut Hill College and studied overseas for a year in France. Karen was a registered nurse with Jefferson University Hospital. Her nursing passion was in oncology, where she worked from 1989 to her retirement in 2005. She was a long time member of Chelten a Church of Hope. Karen enjoyed baking and had the nickname “Bake” with friends and “Woo” with family.

Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial service on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Chelten a Church of Hope, 1601 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025.

Please wear bright colors, at the request of Karen, to offset the darkness in the world.

Religious services will be conducted by Pastors Bill Krewson, Neil Kulp and Stan Hagberg from Chelten a Church of Hope.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Chelten a Church of Hope, 1601 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025 or Chariots for Hope, 1601 Limekiln Pike, Dresher, PA 19025.
